Adrián Villar Rojas: Untitled

Adrián Villar Rojas’ limited edition is a lyrical representation of the artist’s relationship to technology – both in relation to the digital storage of the music that has been so important to his practice, but also in the potential for contemporary graphics programmes to create new work. This rich, colourful work brings together the artist’s fascination with photography and the transformative powers of imagination, fantasy and new technology. It was first created as a preparatory work for Villar Rojas’ first exhibition using clay, Lo que el fuego me trajo (What fire has brought to me) in Buenos Aires, 2008, an exhibition the artist harks back to in his London show at the Serpentine Sackler Gallery, Today We Reboot The Planet.
